Be part of a team of healthcare providers leading the charge to optimize men’s health and promote longevity in the cluster of chemical exposures and endocrine disruptors

It is clear that exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) have detrimental effects on reproductive health. Exposure to EDCs can lead to epigenetic changes, impaired spermatogenesis, and male infertility. Vinclozolin, a fungicide used on fruits, vegetables, turf grass, and ornamental plants, is a known antiandrogenic endocrine disruptor. Spermatogenic defects, prostate disease, kidney disease, and cancer are seen in rodents with exposure to vinclozolin. There may be similar effects in human males. EDCs are also associated with obesity and cardiometabolic risk factors.
Researchers have demonstrated eating produce containing higher quantities of pesticide residue appears to be associated with lower sperm counts. Phthalates have been shown to be an antiandrogen leading to significant changes in genital measurements in male infants with varying phthalate exposure. Studies have indicated paternal exposure to phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA) is associated with changes to the sex ratio with excess female births.
As a result, PME has brought together expert faculty to address these concerns in order to improve patient outcomes. We will review the research and provide strategies to address concerns of endocrine disruption in men. We invite medical doctors, osteopathic doctors, naturopathic doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, functional medicine healthcare practitioners and and integrative medical providers to join us.
OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize sources and targets of environmental metabolic disruptors.
- Discuss the role of environmental chemical obesogens and their impact on obesity.
- Describe the role of environmental influences and its relationship to sleep adequacy.
- Recite environmental toxicants and the risk of cardiometabolic disorders.
- Implement targeted nutritional and botanical supplementation for cardiometabolic health and longevity.
- Develop strategies to address environmental disruption of metabolism.
- Utilize immunotherapy to target environmental immune distractors.

Fasting and Feeding: The Best Approach for Men to Achieve Brains, Brawn, and a Healthy and Fit Body
The notion of not eating for health is certainly new and novel! This innovative lecture will cover all the bases concerning fasting – reviewing the myriad health benefits, along with the research explaining why not eating is great for metabolism, immune health, cognition, and more. The trouble is that no one likes to fast and there are negatives as well. And how you fast also matters greatly – the number of days, the interval between fasts, and so on, are important facets of a fasting program.
This talk will introduce all attending to the miracle called the 5 Day Fasting Mimicking Diet, named ProLon (promoting longevity). It is a completely new way to get the benefits of fasting, while still eating! In essence, the belly sees food but the brain and body register it a fast! What could be better? You get the satisfaction, pleasure, and health value of eating delicious food for 5 days, while your body gets the amazing results of a multi day fast.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the various ways in which human bodies react when undergoing periodic fasting, including the stimulation of stem cells.
- Recognize the dangers of continuous feeding.
- Learn how a fasting mimicking diet can provide the best of both worlds simultaneously: feeding and fasting.
- Review the ways the fasting mimicking diet can help correct metabolic dysfunction, while maintaining lean body mass and eliminating visceral/belly fat that contributes to sexual dysfunction.
- Review the ways the fasting mimicking diet can improve cognition and lift brain fog.
- Review the ways the fasting mimicking diet can improve cardiovascular markers and support all that is needed to provide a long, virile, and healthy lifespan.

The Endocrinology of Fat Loss: Why Diet, Exercise, Sleep, and Stress Management are Critical for Fat Loss
The Metabolism is described as a calculator by some and a chemistry set by others. In this lecture you will learn the metabolism is like neither of these things, but rather more like a thermostat. We will cover how the human lipostat works and what factors are most influencing it. This lecture will then focus on alternative approaches to apply diet, exercise and lifestyle. You will learn why the eat less exercise more approach is not working, and may actually be a chief contributor of weight gain. You will then learn how to properly contextualize the metabolism to generate sustained and lasting fat loss.

Applying the Art and Science of Metabolism: How to Work with Patients to Achieve Fat Loss & Optimize Health
Each patient is unique in their metabolic expression, psychology and personal preferences, yet the weight loss is often prescribed as a one-size-fits-all prescription. There are two things required for lasting weight loss, a sustained calorie deficit and hormonal balance. How to we teach patients to create diet, exercise and lifestyle approaches that work for their individual nature? In this lecture you will learn how to teach your patients to be metabolic detectives rather than dieters. You will discover how the concept of "structured flexibility,” allows us to apply the science of metabolism to individuals.

Practicum in the Preparation and Mixing of Immunotherapy Dilutions *additional enrollment required*
Dr. Ty Vincent, who developed low dose immunotherapy (LDI), has taught doctors the theory of LDI and how to use various antigens in clinical practice. This practicum is to help those who want a more practical understanding of how to make dilutions, mix antigens and prepare individual doses. Dr. Ingels will show you how to go from stock antigen to mixing full dilutions and preparing your immunotherapy lab. He will also show you how to mix antigens and apply doses in clinical practice. This is a hands-on practicum, where you will get a chance to mix your own dilutions and learn how to use your stock antigens.

Evaluating Hormone and Neurotransmitter Sensitivity
Many practitioners have had the experience of giving a nutritional supplement, herb or hormone to a patient and then having them have the complete opposite reaction of what was expected. This can be an indication that a metabolic product in that pathway is triggering an immune or autoimmune reaction. In this lecture, Dr. Ingels will review how to identify and test for immunological reactions to hormones and neurotransmitters, as well as treatment strategies to help modulate immune responses to one's internal chemistry. He will discuss using sublingual immunotherapy and low dose immunotherapy to help overcome these sensitivities. Dr. Ingels will also present case studies to illustrate using these cutting edge techniques in your daily practice.
