Depuration and Ketosis:

Advantage and Necessity
DEcember 6, 2017 | 5:30 - 6:30 pm PST

Overweight people have become the norm in the United States, and all over the world. There is a 70.7% chance the next patient that walks in your door will be overweight and a 36.5% chance they will be obese (CDC NHANES 2013-2014). Evidence is growing that weight loss programs, especially for the obese, are more likely to cause harm than good, even when they are effective.

The health of your patients is also being challenged by the unprecedented quantity of toxicants in our environment. There are roughly 85,000 man-made chemicals; 3,000 of those are high volume compounds, meaning most people are non-occupationally exposed on a regular basis.

These statistics are linked, and in more than one way. Obese people have a higher body burden of toxicants stored in their liver and fat depots. When these body burden chemicals are mobilized into the blood stream with weight loss, they are redistributed to potentially more sensitive organs, such as the heart and the kidneys. This phenomenon may be a key reason why weight loss can make obese people sicker. Secondly, while these chemicals may cause less harm stored in fat, many have been classified as obesogens act hormonally on the cells they are stored in, signaling increasing weight gain.

A ketogenic diet is a very effective way to slowly and steadily support overweight and obese people to lose weight. Step one of depuration of fat-soluble compounds is mobilization through weight loss. Once in the blood stream, it becomes a necessity to remove them from the body.

In this live webinar, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain a new understanding about how to achieve steady weight loss on a ketogenic diet and how to eliminate fat-soluble compounds.
