About the Program
The mentorship is intended to provide physicians with the background to utilize Genomic data in clinical practice. The topics covered will be 23 and Me to a rational treatment plan that is specific for each patient based on their Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms. This will include how SNPs manifest in routine labs such as CBC, CMP, and homocystine.
Each two hour session will be case based and each case will include:
- 23 & Me data processed by Genetic Genie (methylation and detox profile)
- CBC
- CMP
- Homocystine
- Vitamin D
- HbA1c (all fasting)
We will cover how these labs relate to SNPs and how to work with them clinically.
What to Expect
From this mentorship you should expect to understand what SNPs are clinically relevant, how to support them with co-factors, and how to work with methylating supplements such as 5-methylfolate, methyl-B12, and trimethylglycine.
